How to enable windows update medic service and windows update service?
I wanted to install updates on my computer but whenever I open up the windows update settings, it would just load with dots moving above. I cannot enable both the windows update medic service and windows update in the services. They are both disables and I cannot start them. A window saying "Access is denied" would always popular upwards when I try to set it to manual or automatic. I also changed the value of the Offset DWORD to ane only it would ever render to 4. What can I do?

Make sure dependency services such as Remote Procedure Call, RPC Endpoint Mapper are running.
Also, prepare the Start registry DWORD to 2 at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WaaSMedicSvc.

All of those dependency services you lot cited were all running, but I still cannot permanently change the DWORD value, information technology keeps on reverting to value 4.

I did all of the things said in this comment, everything is running and the Start registry DWORD is set to ii.
The access to gear up the Windows Update Medic Service startup type on "Automatic" is yet denied, I can manually press on "start" to accept the Windows Update Medic Service run, but it does no divergence. The Microsoft store works again, but I cannot access the update & security settings and similar said above my access to the Windows Update Medic Service is denied.

first open task mgr.
end process stopupdates10guard
then disable stopupdates10guard in services.msc
At present follow what KapilArya said above. Now it won't change back to 4

Hi, I just revisited this thread because I cannot download an app from the MS Store. What you instructed WORKED! I can download apps from the store once again. Withal, Windows Update is notwithstanding not working. It would just load infinitely with those dots moving in linear above.

Hi, i have the aforementioned problem, but, i tin can't find the process "stopupdates10guard" and the service. My estimator is in spanish

I honey this, Works Perfectly well. I Could have easily viewed this and not reply but I signed up to reply, thank youguys then much. after days of trial and mistake I finally got the fix to my windows update. Summary: I never fifty-fifty knew of stopupdates10guard and it was what was causing the problem all these while. Skilful thing I can now Enable windows update medic service. Thanks to yous and KapilArya.

Maybe this solution be wrong but i tested its and worked!
Get-go Disable "stopupdates10guard" in "Task Director "And "Sevices"
Afterward it get to Run ( Printing Win +R) and blazon regedit
and so go
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\WaaSMedicSvc.
and delete the" WaaSMedicSvc "
and now windows can update!
its may cause some problems such security trouble's!mayhap not! just it worked for me.
Considering Alter parameters from "4 "to "2" dont piece of work and accept mistake 87 - The parameters wrong i deleted waasmedicsvc and it worked.
